Draußen wird es immer grauer, bei STÖHR dafür umso bunter – dank der neuen Herbst/Winter Kollektion.
It’s a quiet Sunday morning. But not for long. Clouds hang in the skies as a bar is filled with lollies, cookies and other sweet temptations. It’s not even 9 am, and 20 pairs of little hands arrive to get the day started. Lights, camera, action. Blond bangs look up expectantly at smiling adults, half with fear, half with curiosity, but always with mischief in their eyes. The style assistant has to keep an eye on his iron (those little hands like the “off” switch). Energy is built and fuelled on sugar. Bribery is not out of the question for these parents. The first babe of the day is a star, lying blissfully and looking stunning in Stöhr. He’s a cross between a little dwarf and the Christmas baby, blue eyes sparkling as three assistants tempt out a smile. That one will smile for free; he’s just a little flirt as his mother says. The rest of the day passes like a day at the fairground. Children riding toy horses, proud fathers snapping up photos of siblings that usually don’t sit so silently next to one another, and mothers catching up over cups of cappuccino. The Indians emerge to take the stage with their bows and arrows to shoot down the make-up artists (red is evil according to one little boy). Feathers are not only added to the models but also to the stylist, photographer, mothers – there is no keeping away from becoming an associate to these little hoodlums. Special thanks goes to the tribe of Blackfoot in Düren for the marvellous accessories to turn our kids into natives. Drums, bows and arrows, elk toed instruments…come and visit at any time, and discover the Native American world! http://www.blackfoot-tribes.de/ Our little hoodlums are through for the day, and for the upcoming season 2014/2015. They have once again managed to make an otherwise quiet Sunday morning exciting and fun to watch and be a part of. And every year it makes me glad that I’m not the one to deal with them after they come down from their sugar highs!
